UI Arboretum

The lush 63-acre University of Idaho Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, in Moscow, is a jewel of the Palouse. We spent about two hours walking on just one of the many trails that wind through the willows, conifers, lilacs, roses, poplars, and hundreds of other trees, shrubs and flowers that are organized into different geographical groupings. We also saw turtles, tadpoles, and birds of all kinds. It's a great place to spend an afternoon with the kids. And it's free!

Officer Friendly

Five minutes later, they were back at it.

Sailing on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Wish I was there.
Waterfalls

This North Idaho waterfall takes a little extra effort and resources to locate. Bet you locals don't know where it is...

So Like Candy

Inside the Penny Candy Store, downtown Coeur d'Alene. Not only do they have a dazzling selection of candy, but they also have a bewildering display of old signs, advertisements, and props.

Raspberries

Wild North Idaho raspberries... Delicious over ice cream. Not as good as huckleberries, but a close second.
