Wordless Wednesday

I always feel bad posting a Wordless Wednesday photo when I have absolutely no intention of leaving it wordless.
I guess that makes it Semi-Wordless Wednesday.
Except for today, when I have even more words than usual because I wanted to announce the winner of the $25 Outback Gift Card. So, this post isn't anywhere close to being wordless.
Anyway, the Outback Gift Card goes to... Jen. Congrats! Hope your husband has a wonderful meal on Father's Day.
I also wanted to explain that the above photo was taken at Farragut State Park, near Bayview, Idaho. About 40 years ago, some Boy Scouts built a monument to the Scout Law in a field in the middle of the park. Today the site is completely surrounded by pine trees, and it's kind of fun to walk down a short dirt trail to find it hidden away from view.

That's pretty cool.
Looks like the Boys Scouts have the right idea. Great picture.
And Woohoo! on winning the gift card. Thanks so much.
Gee, at 74 I still remember the rest of them:
A Scout is
Trustworthy
Loyal
Helpful
friendly
courteous
kind
obedient
cheerful
Thrifty
Brave
Reverent
and we always added, hungry!
I cheerfully adhered to the other rules, but hunger was my favorite. I was a cub scout, boy scout and explorer scout, before I entered the real world. It's too bad that not all kids have the opportunity to experience this stuff. I especially think inter-city children should have funding available so that they might go to a scouting summer camp.
most times i have to leave a comment, because i'm so...............wordful.
love the shot though. a reminder we could all use.
