I Was A Teenage Moose

One of the things I love about living where I do is that my kids are constantly exposed to all types of wildlife.

Like this young moose we spotted just off the highway near DeSmet, Idaho. He didn't seem to mind us gawking and taking photos.

Or maybe he was just gawking back at the stupid human who screeched to a stop in the middle of Highway 95 just because he saw a moose and had to take its picture because he thinks they're the coolest animal ever.

I need a bumper sticker that reads, "I Brake For Moose."

No moose..or is it meese...in Vegas. We have a front yard full of wild desert jack rabbits, road runners and flying bats. But if I do happen to come across a moose, I'll definitely "brake" and take a picture.

Hey, I've stopped on the side of the road to take pictures of rabbits too!

one of the best experiences of my life was being in Maine and having not one but two moose walk out of the woods and watch us from both sides of the road. we just sat there in the car in awe.

they are SO huge and SO majestic looking.
