Dog Torture

I'm torturing my son.

For the past two weekends, our movie nights have gone to the dogs.

We started with Beverly Hills Chihuahua, then Bolt.

After that, it was on to Beethoven. Followed, of course, by Beethoven's 2nd.

Coming up this weekend? Hotel For Dogs and Space Buddies.

I swear, that's how they're coming up on our Netflix queue!

While the rest of us watch and enjoy the flicks, my son sits grumpily with a book in front of his face.

He keeps saying the same thing.

"They need to make more cat movies!!!"

I can only think of "That Darn Cat" and Garfield 1 and 2

As much as I enjoy Bill Murray, I can only take so much of the rest of those Garfield movies.

"Cats and Dogs" is a good one, but the cats are portrayed as agents of evil, which doesn't sit well with my son, who things dogs are the spawn of Satan.

Does The Pink Panther count as a cat movie?

I think my son will count the Pink Panther series as cat movies.

"Cat From Outer Space" is an old favorite... Hey, McLean Stevenson rocks!

We'll also count that other old Disney nugget, "Charlie The Lonesome Cougar."

And that reminds me... "Born Free" is a good one. Technically, cougars and lions are cats.

Phil, you might like the book 'The Film Club' sometime, about a father who lets his son drop out of school as long as he watches all the movies his dad picks out for them to watch instead. The Stickman

>>>more cat movies

They can't get the cats to stay in place and perform on command!!

Just don't let him watch "Fritz The Cat" the x-rated animated film from back in the 60s. Not for the kiddies. At all.
