Foks Nooz Is Grate!

It's not the misspelling that bugs me so much as the fact that this graphic was up on the Fox News main page for the better part of a day, apparently unnoticed by Fox employees who should have a higher standard for their product.
I understand that quick-typing graphic artists make mistakes, although this story certainly wasn't some bit of breaking news that had to be rushed to the web site. The employee really should've checked his work twice before hitting that publish button.
No, it's the institutional indifference that gets me. If they don't care about spelling, then they probably don't care about the accuracy of the information they report.
Which is why Fox News is the very last news source I rely upon.

Keith Olbermann refers to them as "Fox Noise" or "Fix News." They are pretty unreliable.
They apparently can't count hands either. Did you see my 'fairly unbalanced' post?
As newspapers continue to falter, it will only get worse.

Check this out...I bet you'll find that at least one 'News' organization that you do like has made a similar mistake.
See 'Lessons in Geograpghy', for example. I consider that to be worse than a speeling eror.

or this on CNN:
Where's Obama?
Rich, I know they all make mistakes. That "Where's Obama" one is really funny.
The Fox News mistake is just the one that *I* noticed.
Yes, it was a slow blogging day.
In my opinion, though, none of these news sites should be making simple grammar and spelling mistakes. Headlines should be double and triple checked before the publish key is pushed.
It is fun to find something like that on your own. I don't know why, but it is.
I'm not a huge fan of Fox News, and I wish media coverage was better across the board. At the same time, if you limit your sources based on errors like this, your list of approved sources will be pretty short.
Maybe it's for the best. I'm making an effort to spend more time reading longer forms (books, essays) and less time reading quick headlines. Somehow though, the shorter pieces keep drawing me back.
I bet even spell check on most graphic programs would have caught that. But then again spell check misses most of my errors.
