Iron Homeschooler
I'm not here right now.
I'm guest-posting over at Discovering Dad with an article about homeschooling called "Dad and Teacher - Choosing To Homeschool."
Until I get back, here's a contest for you.
I have one brand-new DVD of the summer blockbuster, Ironman, to give away!
In case you haven't heard of it, this high-flying adventure movie stars Robert Downey, Jr., as the man in the iron suit. It's rated PG-13, so not for the little kids, but my 10-year-old had a great time watching it in the theater.
Just leave a comment here, telling me your favorite superhero. Or maybe you can make one up, like Homeschool Man (able to teach three subjects at the same time!).
I'll pick a winner next week.

Batman!!
But I don't want the DVD as it will be region 1 and our DVD player only plays region 2.
I once made up my own superheroes when I was a kid: the Mighty Wombat and Boomerang Boy
I always loved Batman because he was a real guy, not some mutant. It was his brains, skill, and vengeance that made him so great.
Underdog.
That Polly was cute!
I found the Scarlet Pimpernel to be totally cool as a type of superhero.
Captain Marvel.... Shazam!
As a kid, it was Superman. Nowadays, I can't say I have one.
Always loved Aquaman as a kid. Now I see myself as 'Crackleman' since things are always snaping or cracking when I move since becoming a dad. Not sure what power that brings me, other that making my boy laugh. He can be my sidekick 'limberboy'.
I love the Mystery Men. Specifically, The Spleen, who has elevated the SBD to an art form.
Wonder Woman was always my favorite when I was a kid. But now I like Elastagirl from the Incredibles. Her powers would come in handy with 3 kids around.
Captain Cure. OK ,he's kinda obscure since since the graphic artist here in my building (Morgan's Alley - Lewiston, ID) just brought this hero to life in his new comic book aimed at kids with cancer.
Really.
Opps - you'll need a contact if I'm gonna win! windchaser@lewiston.com
I remember growing up watching Space Ghost. He was like Superman with invisibility. His power bands were cool too when they weren't broken or being stolen from him.
Wonderwoman of course.
She could fly that cool invisible jet and fight and beat up on men.
Batman and Robin was my favorite show as a kid, but I also like all the JLA comic book characters. And like Ed, I also really like Underdog (with his super energy pill!)
