Father's Day Giveaway!

It's my biggest giveaway ever, just in time for Father's Day!

The good people at Hachette Book Group USA are offering a set of 11 of their books, specifically selected for dads, to five of my readers.

In other words, your summer reading list is about to be filled.

Here's what they're going to send the winners:

1. The Whole Truth, by David Baldacci
2. Child 44, by Tom Smith
3. The Film Club, by David Gilmour
4. Living on the Black: Two Pitchers, Two Teams, One Season to Remember, by John Feinstein
5. The Last Real Season, by Mike Shropshire
6. Lone Survivor, by Marcus Luttrell
7. A Tale of Two Subs, by Jonathan McCullough
8. A Terrible Glory, by James Donovan
9. The Training Ground, by Martin Dugard
10. The Adventures of Slim & Howdy, by Kix Brooks & Ronnie Dunn
11. The Dudes' Guide To Pregnancy, by Bill Lloyd & Scott Finch

These 11 books are all extremely well-reviewed bestsellers from the past few months. From thrillers to sports to history to comedy, there are some awesome books included here.

If you're a dad who'd like to win a set, or if you're a mom who'd like to give them to your favorite dad, then all you have to do is leave a comment under this post. Tell me the last book you read and enjoyed.

Only one restriction... You must live in the USA or Canada.

Happy Father's Day!

This contest has ended. Thanks!

The last book that I enjoyed? That would be No No Yes Yes by Leslie Patricelli. It is a classic board book for the pre-reader/beginning reader set.

The Princess can read it (almost) solo now and she about pees her pants laughing so hard.

That is some serious enjoyment from a book!

I just finished Lindberg by A. Scott Berg. I have to acknowledge both my dad and mom for instilling a love of reading in me. Dad always had a biography on the reading stand. Mom always loved the fictional stuff. I truly enjoy both.
Great idea, Family Phil.

I just finished "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini. What an eye opening experience to read what women indured under the Taliban! On the lighter side, I also just finished "A Dark Need at Night's Edge" by Kresley Cole. A great paranormal romance with vampires, valkyries and ghosts. I like a wide variety of reads!!

Great authors in a great giveaway.
The last book I read was "Seven Deadly Wonders" by Matthew Reilly. You would really love this book and your son will too when he is a tad older (language and violence). It's a national treasure/indiana jones feel with a race to reach the seven wonders of the ancient world (think hanging gardens of babylon and great pyramids), all with the fate of the world at stake.

Does 'Harold and the purple crayon' count? Oh, you probably mean the last adult book. In that case, 'How Doctor's think'. I was more interested in why smart people make mistakes (cognitive errors) than the part about medicine, but I did learn only to trust a radiologist 75% of the time.
