Cookie Monster

How was your Father's Day?
I got a plate of cookies.
They were special because my son, without asking for help from anyone or even telling anyone what he was doing, got up and made double-chocolate chocolate chip cookies. He looked up the recipe in a cookbook, found all the ingredients in the pantry and cupboards, preheated the oven, and followed the instructions precisely.
The cookies were delicious!
The only thing he didn't do is clean up the mess in the kitchen.
But that's okay. He'll figure it out next time.

Yummy. And he didn't burn down the house.

He's quickly becoming you!
Now that's a boy after my own heart. If he needs a summer internship--I'll make room!
Those look great! Enjoy.
Mmmm, cookies. Glad you had a good day!
No doubt the cookies tasted great; they even look sort of delectable, but... exactly what sort of shape are we looking at here? Were they meant to look like leaves? Or perhaps exotic footprints?
Very impressive initiative.
How sweet! I'm sure you enjoyed them!
I think I'm a little behind in my kids' cooking education. It's not like they don't want to, either--they're always chomping at the bit to help me in the kitchen. I think I just need to toughen up and steel myself to tolerate the inevitable mess...lol.
That's so thoughtful of him. I think even if he ended up giving you burned cookies, it would have been just as touching.
Your son sure is something =)
Wow!
I wish I got cookies. I needed a dessert with my KFC
