Outback Giveaway
One of our favorite chain restaurants is Outback Steakhouse. It's their 20th birthday this month, and they've sent me a $25 gift card to give away to one of my readers.
All through April, Outback has special menu items in honor of their birthday. We recently ate there and I tried the Chargrilled Tuscan Rib Eye. Believe me, it's good. Other special items this month include a Sirloin, Shrimp and Scallops Mixed Grill, Fresh Tilapia with Pure Lump Crab Meat, and a Slow-Roasted Sirloin Medley.
I only agreed to promote Outback's birthday because we've always had delicious meals there. The environment is relaxed and casual, the very definition of the Aussie "No Worries" lifestyle. The kids menu is a step above the usual chicken nuggets or macaroni & cheese. My son especially likes the Joey Sirloin, while my daughter always orders the Junior Ribs.
What's weird is that both my kids love Outback's Bloomin' Onion. Normally they hate onions. They pick them out of sandwiches, salads, and casseroles. But place a Bloomin' Onion on the table, and they gobble it up.

When Paul and I were just two poor college students dating, we'd go to Outback and order the Bloomin' Onion, two waters, and a piece of dessert to share. High rollers, we were. (That was when we weren't at Olive Garden, stuffing my purse with breadsticks and ordering bowl after bowl of Pasta e Fagioli.)

Apparently we are starving our children - our neighbors were cooking on the grill last night (good friends of ours) and our kids were in our yard telling them to throw over some food. So... they did. They threw over a hot dog. My kids proceeded to rinse it off and eat it?!?!?! BOYS!!
ummm, a steak sounds rather yummy and it's pretty loud there, so we can take our 1 year old. yipee!

I actually am a starving student right now and am about to get married and live in Southern California where everything costs a million dollars.
So yeah, I'm pretty hungry.
Just the thought of a Blooming Onion and that spicy dipping sauce makes me drool! I have joined a gym and restricted my eating for almost a year now -and lost 90 lbs.- but I would definitely treat myself and my husband to an onion if I win!!!

I am STARVING! My husband is a pre-med student, so we will both be hungry for like 10 years. We love to eat out but have to exercise our self control due to lack of funds. It's really hard...so we are pretty darn hungry, and won't get fat til 2018!!

I've never ever ever ever eaten the Outback steak house.. a wee ( a big wee) out of my budget but I'd love to try it. I"ve heard of the bloomin onion dish and it sounds soooooooo good.
