The Big Give

I've wholeheartedly embraced the digital age, especially with music. Four years ago I made the decision to rip my 1200 CDs to our computer hard drive. Then I sold most of the CDs on eBay. It could've been a disastrous decision, but it turned out to be a huge success, allowing me to easily access songs and artists that I hadn't heard in years. I fell in love with iTunes and, soon, my first iPod. It's still hard for me to believe that I can carry around the equivalent of some 1500 CDs in my pocket.

So, it's with great excitement that I announce my biggest giveaway ever! Thanks to the good folks at Apple, I have in my hands one brand-new 4GB iPod Nano to give to one of my readers.

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post. Tell me a joke if you want (keep it clean), or just say hi. In two weeks I'll put everyone's name in a hat and pick a winner.

The 4GB iPod Nano is slightly smaller than a credit card, holds over 1,000 songs, and plays both music and video. You'll love it.

UPDATE: The giveaway has ended! See the results here.

The last two little oak leaves sat huddled together at the top of the tree in Autumn, it was blowing a gale, and the tiniest leaf turns to the other and starts to giggle..... I dont know what you laffing at, he says, its really windy up here..... the little one giggles again and says..... 'I think Im going to blow off'...

LOL that is a wellabit daft joke, but I crease up everytime I hear it lol.... just gotta love those play on words...

A man and a woman who had never met before, and were both married to other people, found themselves assigned to the same sleeping room on a Trans-continental train.
Though initially embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room, they were both very tired and fell asleep quickly.....He in the upper bunk and she in the lower.
At 1:00 AM , the man leaned down and gently woke the woman saying, "Ma'am, I'm sorry to bother you, but would you be willing to reach into the closet to get me a second blanket? I'm awfully cold."
"I have a better idea," she replied . "Just for tonight, let's pretend that we're married."
"Wow! That's a great idea!" he exclaimed.
"Good," she replied. "Get your own blanket."
After a moment of silence, he farted.

I don't have an ipod yet. Several weeks ago my husband found one at the gym. He put up signs and it was 3 weeks later before someone identified it correctly and claimed it. As more time passed with no response I began wondering what it would be like to have that one if no one claimed it. It was a nano, less than a month old, and filled with over 1000 of my favorite songs! We called apple to see if they could trace who it belonged to from the serial number, but the owner had not bothered to register it. We were happy the owner was reunited with it, but I was a little bummed not to get to keep it, either.

A mama mole, a papa mole, and a baby mole all wake up from a long winter’s nap in their mole hole. The papa mole crawls up, sticks his head out, sniffs the air and says "Yum! I smell flowers!" The mama mole squeezes up and sticks her head out, sniffs the air and says "Yum! I smell fresh green grass!" The baby mole tries to crawl up, too, but can't because the bigger moles are in the way so he complains, "Gee, all I can smell is molasses".

I was sent here by Kailani.

I was reading this book and the characters end up at this rustic hotel where all the rooms are decorated with taxidermy animals. The female character does not want to sleep with a deer staring at her all night and attempts to take the deer over her bed down. The male character decides that the deer is probably attached very well to the wall and attempts to stop her from taking it down. In the struggle both end up falling over and hearing a snap. the girl looks and sees that she has the deer's ear in her hand. The guy says "you've just turned it into Vincent Van Doe!"

yes, very corny, but it made me laugh!

My favorite (clean) joke:

A mushroom walks into a bar and the bartender says "I'm sorry we don't serve your kind." The mushroom says "Why not? I'm a fungi (fun guy)."

I know, corny!

Wow, a great giveaway. We currently put our new music on the computer. But, I strive to someday do exactly what you did and put ALL of our CD's on our computer. It would be such a time and space saving endeavor.

I've always wanted to visit Idaho....

ok, here is a bad joke.

Mother Superior called all the nuns together and said to them, 'I must tell you all something. We have a case of gonorrhea in the convent.' 'Thank God,' said an elderly nun at the back. 'I'm so tired of chardonnay.

Deep within a forest a little turtle began to climb a tree. After hours of effort he reached the top, jumped into the air waving his front legs and crashed to the ground. After recovering, he slowly climbed the tree again,
jumped, and fell to the ground. The turtle tried again and again while a couple of birds sitting on a branch watched his sad efforts. Finally, the female bird turned to her mate. "Dear," she chirped, "I think it's time to tell him he's adopted."

Thanks for the giveaway.
