Losers And Winners
Last month my daughter lost a tooth, then lost it again down the drain.
She was sad for awhile, but quickly reminded herself that there were more loose teeth in her future. She said, "Next time I won't go anywhere near the sink."
Last night we let the kids start eating the gingerbread houses they built a few weeks ago. As my daughter was biting into a section of M&M-covered rooftop, her eyes suddenly went very wide and she froze.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
Her eyes began to fill with tears as she softly said, "I swallowed my tooth."
Sure enough, one of her loose incisors was gone. This girl is not having much luck with her teeth!
Speaking of luck, I asked my son to pick two numbers between 1 and 14. He choose 2 and 13. You see, everyone begged so convincingly, I decidedly to randomly select the winners of the Shrek The Third and Home Alone DVDs. Comment #2 was from Piseco, who wanted Home Alone, while Comment #13 was from Jinx, who asked for Shrek The Third. Please email me at blog(AT)pkmeco(DOT)com with your mailing info.

Thanks to your son for making such a great guess.
That poor baby. Maybe I can help cheer her up. Did you get any snow? If so, I made my kids a great snow fort by using a leaf funnel, makes perfect columns and they are nice and tall. I have a whole village going in my backyard maze, snowslide, big climbing hill. FUN!( I think she deserves an extra present this year for all the tooth grief. )
Tell your daughter that the whole tooth fairy thing really bites. Sorry, I'm a horrible punster.
when I was losing teeth I swallowed 1, lost an other playing outside, lost one at school which I never found and the tooth fairy still left me money each time.
I keep forgetting to ask you ...Have you "elfed yourselves yet?" elfyourself.com -it's thru office max ,it's funny. Oh and this afternoon we "painted"our snow fort blue with a spray bottle, water and food coloring .(after we painted the fort then it became a castle) So we have this great big blue castle in our back yard. Took one of Jack's old costumes (a warrior) and dressed up the snowman which is in front of the castle. I live in Michigan and this winter so far has just been perfect. 30 degree days and 1 and 1/2 feet of snow. Just wanted to share, thought maybe you and your kids would have fun with this too.
I agree with you about us being too busy. I think if we really sit down and think about it, we will realize that we could cut back on many things.
I feel badly for your daughter!
