Home Alone With Shrek

Come and get it! I have some shiny new DVDs to give away.

I have one each of the recently released Shrek The Third and the classic 1990 Christmas comedy Home Alone.

How do you win them? Just leave a comment. Tell me which one you want (sorry, can't have both), followed by a lot of begging and pleading. I'll pick a winner on Monday.

Shrek!!!! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!! I just saw it last weekend and it was my FAR AND ABOVE FAVORITE of the three. And my husband's grandmother just gave him an obscene amount of birthday money that he's not sharing, so I need something to make me feel better. :)

Home Alone...
::grudgingly gets down on knees::
for my 5 yo son, who found it on a cable channel while we were in Guatemala, and watched it intently and with total glee even though it was dubbed into Spanish, and who asked with such hope in his heart, "Does anyone have that movie in America?" So even though I saw it so many times in the 90s that the enjoyment has been completely squooshed out of it for *me*, I know the sheer joy it would bring to my son.
::bats eyelashes and makes Bambi eyes::
PLEEEEEASE? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE? PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE?
::grovels endlessly::

We got Shrek 1,2 and 3 also, my kids love them. Not to sure of Home Alone, can't think I've seen it yet so if no one claims that one I will also say Thank You for the opportunity to try and beg pretty please with a cherry on top? :-))))))

Oh, I NEEEEEEED Home Alone! The quintessential holiday hootenanny of slapstick shenanigans? No DVD collection should be without it, and MINE IS! You, and you alone, can rectify this gross mismanagement of DVD purchasing power on my part. PLEEEEEASE?

(Is that enough begging? I could throw in some groveling and snivelling, free of charge.)

I'd love to be in the race for Shrek III. Seriously, that Led Zeppelin Snow White moment is priceless.

BTW, A very nice thing of you to do. :)

dearest phil of the family,

i have been absent for a while. yes. my academic endeavours have taken me other places than the blogosphere, BUT i've been blurking like whoa.

the promise of home alone on doovde (http://youtube.com/watch?v=fktc09YRHBQ) really gets me excited.

to this day i still quote the movie.

"Buzz, your girlfriend. WOOF!!"

so please phil, consider me.

We took our youngest to Shrek III for her 5 y/o birthday. 9 little Kindergartners in Shrek masks hopped up on orange drink was such a delight to Mom and me. I'm not sure I want to relive that. Our 9 y/o is just starting to get slap-stick, and laughs whenever anyone get hurt. So, he would definitely love Home Alone. And I really want him to start saying, "Take that ya filthy animal."

Phil,

What a guy! You and your giveaways! You truly are a person that makes this time of year great.
I don't think we have either one of those movies, but I'm sure we can live without.
However, what a nice guy for passing along gifts to others.

We would love to have Shrek 3. I went with my husband, mother-in-law, and then 9 month-old to see it. It was great.

Shrek 3....
A lonely old grandma whose house is kind of quiet..
came upon this site in the middle of the night.
She read the note about the Shreky give-away..
and realized then she just had to play.
For this grandma, you see will soon her kids be seein'
for Christmas is a-comin, and the house will be a-shakin...
with kids and grandkids in all the nooks and crannies.
This grandma needs some help, you see, to keep the kids from climin'..
those walls just might fall down on them..
and all the kings horses & men just don't cut it! Granny needs this flick!

Put me in the Shrek pile pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeze.
Not a fan of the home alone movies at all.
I have the 1st shrek on VHS and the 2nd on DVD and missed going to see shrek in the Movies because we had company and then just seemed to be out of the theaters before I could get there.
and then when my niece comes over to spend the night we can have a Shrek marathon.
Thanks you very kindly for your generous offer.
