Meet the newest member of our family, Puff Ball the Hamster.
I have no idea where she came from, or what she's doing here. This was a mother-daughter scheme.
She's cute. I hope the cats don't eat her.

She looks very much like Madeleine, my class pet from a few years ago. Maddie should have been called "Houdini" though, because she escaped from every cage I put her in!

okay, don't be distressed. I was reading abotu Peru last week; they keep hamsters in a pen in the kitchen and deep fry them, in several differents vats of oil, splayed out. They consider themselves quite nummy. I myself go for a nice place of ravioli. sigh.
