Weekend Whatnot

This is why I live here
My daughter asked for some gum at the store, so I bought her a pack of Bubblicious. Two hours later, she had 8 of the 10 pieces in her mouth, chomping happily away.
My family is attempting to go two whole weeks without eating out or bringing something in. That means no fast food, no Chinese food, no pizza delivery, no trips to the ice cream shop. This is going to be hard.
Is Ratatouille the best Pixar film yet? Many critics think so. My family will be seeing it this weekend.
Mommy Dearest's house is cleaner than yours. Or so she would have us think!
Education, Growth, and Family Time are the three main benefits of travel, according to the Why Homeschool blog. I completely agree, especially about spending time as a family. I can't think of one place in this world that I would like to go without my wife and kids.
I've never seen the Cartoon Network show Class of 3000, but it features some very cool music from Andre 3000 of the group Outkast (and who doesn't like "Hey Ya"?). He plays a music teacher on the show. Sony is providing a free download of one of his new songs as the series kicks off its second season. Get it here.

I love the picture, the color is absolutely brilliant.
Hi, Phil. I saw Ratatouille yesterday. Wonderful and charming in the way that all Pixar movies have been, no doubt. It has sort of a "smaller" feel to it, though, in terms of its scope and characters, so in a sense it didn't feel quite as... ah, what's the word... *substantial* as things like Toy Story or Monsters, Inc. or Finding Nemo. So I wouldn't say it's the best Pixar film, though I think it's inadequate to even compare them to each other anymore, because they're all so different. But it's always great to see the different kinds of stories the Pixar people can create, and this was another gem in its own right.
The rat movie isn't the best (saw it with my girl) if only because it runs too long and is a little bit too subtle for its own good.
Give 'em credit, though -- they can get their computers to do extremely realistic fur and hair like nobody else.
I'm still a Monsters, Inc. guy, but Ratatouille is very good.
The attention to detail is amazing.
No delivery for 2 weeks? Ouch. That would hurt. We don't do it much, but at least once a week we must have either Chinese or Mexican. You just can't buy that stuff and have it be the same...
Ratatouille looks good. Nemo would be hard to beat. But we'll have to wait for DVD. LA Toddler is not quite patient enough for the theaters yet.
My husband and I caught that video on Talk Soup a few nights back. I think that should make that girl clean my house for a few weeks...I think it would help set her straight.
It is very rare for us to have take-away food..... jebus now I feel unspoilt lol....... I cook proper dinners everynight...... maybe once every 4-5 weeks we will order a pizza but only when they are buy one get one free, because they are $28 for a large one, which aint enough for my mob....its not that I cant afford it, but I just refuse to pay such a crazy prices for 'a pizza' ... we usually make out own pizzas....... dam...... I WANNA live in america and get take-away often LOL....
that video is WELL FUNNY...

Great picture! I love it here!
That video is painful to watch! If I were her parents, I'd take back the car and spend the money on a little educational trip to a third world country.
If I were that Mom I would have made her walk home...
