Strange Changes
I've made some changes to the blog... First, I moved all of my blog rolls to their own pages. It's getting more difficult to keep up with all the parenting blogs that are coming and going.
Second, I installed Google Reader's post-sharing feature. It's over there on the right, down below the AllPosters ad. I labeled it as "Phil's Friends"... Basically, whenever I see an interesting post among the 140 or so blogs I subscribe to through Google Reader, I can "share" that post and it will appear in the box to the right. A very cool new feature from Google!
I've also been fiddling with my FTP features. If the blog is all messed up, someone will let me know... right?
In parenting news, we're going furniture shopping this weekend to buy my daughter a bed. She's been on a twin mattress on top a simple metal frame, but we talked with her about getting some kind of girly four-poster type of bed that she could be proud of and feel good about sleeping in all night.

Looks good in Firefox....
That post-sharing feature is cool! Like del.icio.us, but on the first page of your blog.
I think it's a great idea to make her bed seem as inviting as possible. I would have loved a fancy, girly bed as a child. Also, maybe some kind of reward based system for each night she makes it through without coming into your bed? Like some cool stickers or something? Whatever you think she might like. I don't know from experience, but it might be something to try. Good luck!
I'm stuck on I.E. 6 on one computer. The right sidebar is empty. Looks okay in Firefox.
update: the sidebar popped in right after I left the comment
I didn't know about those features. I'll have to check it out.
Looks a little weird on a Mac (Firefox)..the boxes are off.
Then again, I'm probably in the minority and "the man" (Windows) keep holdin' us down.
Looks good to me. So good in fact that I updated my blogger templates so I could put the widget on our blog too! Thanks for the pointer.
A bed really is one of those little rites of passage, isn't it? Dudelet was very attached to his cot but when he finally and indisputably grew out of it, we talked up beds for days then made it a big expedition. Thankfully he pounced on one we could a) afford and b) fit in his room.
I just re-started my blog... any tips appreciated...
