Snow Day

I had to drive in a blizzard yesterday, down a windy two-lane highway, my hands tightly gripping the wheel for hours, closely watching every car in the opposite lane.

I love the snow, but I don't much enjoy driving through it.

I haven't lived through a proper Midwestern winter for six years. Neither do I miss them. It's difficult to describe the horrible feeling in the pit of your stomach when the car just. Won't. Stop.

Phil...are you the "Phil" that made me those CD's? I've listened to the first two collections you've made and there's some pretty good music on 'em, tho I've never heard of those musicians.

Nice picture. We had our first snow of the season today, but just a light dusting of the roofs. I was hoping for a big storm.

Welcome to my world, we face this on a daily basis from mid-October though late March; plus almost total dark days in December and January....but summer more than makes up for it!!!!

Wow..pure white snow. Funny..we the tropical people perceive snow as something pure, white, fluffy and nice to touch...coz we never have it. I understood from all you guys it's sometimes not that fun to deal with..

Gorgeous picture! I loved watching it coming down all day yesterday. It makes the apartment seem cozy instead of just cramped! :D

I can barely drive in rain - snow just freaks me out.

I've live in L.A. too long-

Yes, I'm with you. Snow is ideal for sitting in doors sipping fortifying liquids in front of a log fire. The first time I drove in the snow I put the brakes on and nothing happened. Ooops.

So you are the ones hoarding all the snow. We put up Christmas decorations in 60+ degree weather on Sunday. You just never know what you'll get out here in NH.
