A Colorful Yarn
Looking through old photos again tonight...

I walked into my daughter's room about four years ago to find her waking up from a nap like this. We thought we had baby-proofed everything, but we never considered what she might do with this blanket that a friend had made for her.
She had managed to pull out all the colored strands of yarn and wrap them around her neck. What fun she must have had! It obviously took a lot of effort on her part, so of course I had to run to get the camera to capture this proud moment... "My baby knows her colors! Say cheese!"
The lovely blanket went straight into the garbage, and we learned that even when you're careful you can never be too careful... Not when it comes to your kids.

so true.
we laughed and thought it was so cute that our little girl had become so attached to our new dog that she wanted to take him for walks...basically put his leash on him...but quickly we realized that that funny moment could be a horrible one when she started to wrap the leash around her neck...

Amen.
I've lost track of all the things Lael has turned into deadly weapons.
What a cute pose from your baby girl!
