Poetry Time
My 7-year-old son likes to write poems, some of which I've posted here previously. Here's his latest ode:
That Little Creep
That little creep
Stole my money
Stole my house
Stole my mail out of the mailbox.
That little creep
Stole my shampoo
Stole my clothes
Stole my mat off the kitchen floor.
That Little Creep
That little creep
Stole my money
Stole my house
Stole my mail out of the mailbox.
That little creep
Stole my shampoo
Stole my clothes
Stole my mat off the kitchen floor.

Awesome. More, more!
Who is the "little creep" in the poem? Did he happen to say?
He just made it up. There are a few kids in his class who probably inspired him, though...
How cute!
My daughter writes too.
Isn't it fun to post their stuff!

I like that one. Our oldest used to do poetry off the cuff, you might say, when he was about three or so. One that I remember and wrote down, is the following:
Salt and pepper
Hend and hepper
Spray the nort
and Hort the hepper!
Not bad for three I think. Being six now, he's moved on to novels and Lego instructional manuals.
