Crap'n Crunch
Jefito's latest Great Gross-Off takes a close look at a new Cap'n Crunch cereal that changes colors. Which isn't necessarily a good thing.
I used to eat regular old Cap'n Crunch when I was a kid. I also liked Trix, Cocoa Puffs, and Booberry cereals. If my mom hadn't made such excellent lunches and dinners, I'd probably have succumbed to malnutrition by the age of twelve.
I can still remember the songs and slogans from those cereal ads on TV, like "I'm cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs" and "Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids." The advertisers really danced a jig on my impressionable young mind. One reason why I keep my own kids away from commercial television. And away from blue-powdered cereal.

Holy junk food, batman
I remember eating Captain crunch and that it always made the top of my mouth sore. Good sign that you've had enough!

The top of my mouth started getting sore after a year-long Tootsie Pop habit when I was about 19. I never liked them after that, for fear of those little "candy cuts" I guess.

Mmm...I liked the kind with the red berries the best. I also loved the sugary cereals but luckily all that playing outside kept the fat from sticking. I don't ever buy that stuff, either. My kids will only eat oatmeal or yogurt for the most part.
I was never really into cereal.
My kids love it... and those commercials sure do get into their heads!

You have to admit, Phil, that the Monster Cereals still really rock...I mean, they're a staple in our house for the entire month of October anyway....
And everybody likes the Cap'n.
