Walking On Eggs
At an Easter egg hunt in Coeur d'Alene's City Park on Sunday, my daughter scored big-time, with about a dozen eggs in her basket. But she scored even bigger when she decided to share three of her eggs with a little girl who was crying after finding just one.
I didn't see any pushing or shoving like I heard about at some other local egg hunts. This one in the park was decidedly low-key. That's the way it should be. When they start giving away iPods and laptops, that's a bit over the top. Candy and pennies are all my kids need to find in a plastic egg.
So now my kids have added another holiday's worth of chocolate and lollipops to their candy bags. There's stuff in there from Halloween still.

*cheers* to your daughter and her sharing. Sounds like you've got an awesome kid too!
My kids get the hard-boiled eggs, as well as a few plastic ones with candy and a few with coins in them that my Mom hides. They don't argue or complain if one gets more than the others but enjoy the fun. We hid 88 eggs this year for just the 3 of them... that was a bit too much. I guess my sister and I just enjoy hiding them. *smile*
Next year we're gonna do something different. We're thinking of hiding some hard-boiled then playing some games. We'll play a few with all the family and some for just the kids.
As for candy... They didn't get much (thank goodness) and I'm keeping it separate from that halloween candy- Yep.. we still have some too!- so I can wave goodbye to it (mostly gum anyway and I hate gum LOL).

What a sweet daughter.........shows you are bringing her up right!
That's great.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with old candy sitting around (but I know I should just toss it). My girl likes ice cream a good bit, but a lot of candies don't interest her. That's a good thing :)
It's always nice to hear about a low-key Easter egg hunt where nobody gets hurt. And kudos to your daughter for her kind heart!
