We'll Make Great Pets
Some folks think there's not much difference between raising dogs and raising children.
I don't know... My kids just laugh at me when I wave a rolled up newspaper at them. And they get kind of annoyed when I try to attach a leash to their collars.
Most of the time my children act like cats -- they don't come when they're called, they like to go outside and then come inside and then go back outside, they're finicky with their food, and they like to chase butterflies.

I know people who've gotten a pet and think that it's practice for raising children...I really don't see the similarity. Someone needs to tell these people that you can't leave kids home alone or bring them to a kennel.
Hi Phil,
Khalil gave me your blog address as I need to interview stay-at-home dads. Like Khalil, I'm working on my Ph.D. at WSU; I'm also in communication.
I hope you will consider taking 45-1 hr. out of your day for me to interview you over the phone (I live in the Spokane area so phone would probably be the best option.) I also see by the late hour of some of your posts that you are as busy as I was as a stay-at-home mom. I am willing to work around your schedule, though my paper is due Nov 3.
Please email me at either of my addresses: jscott922@yahoo.com or jscott5@wsu.edu.
Thank you for your consideration!
Joy Scott:-)
LOL I love it. I don't think I've ever thought of my children as dogs let alone cats. But I'd say that's a pretty good comparison!
