Freak Out
An area school has banned informal dances because of sexually explicit dancing.
I find this difficult to comment on since I don't have teenagers now and I never attended any dances when I was in school, but hasn't this kind of "dirty dancing" been going on forever?
Just another reason why school dances are a complete waste of time and resources.

I'm seeing flashes of Kevin Bacon prancing around an old warehouse in his wife-beater with the "outlawed" rock (Let's Hear It For The Boy???? or was that Holding Out For a Hero???? either way.... NOT ROCK) blasts from his beat up VW
Oh, don't mention Kevin Bacon... My wife had a crush on him in high school. I think she still does.
I didn't think dancing was cool until I was about 30... Now I love dancing with my kids.
But public school dances? Ick.
I do have a teenager, and the dances are supposedly chaperoned, but it's nothing to see kids making out. I don't have a problem with the dancing, but that kids are kissing and petting...yeah, I have a problem with that.
I was too scared to even look at girls when I was a teenager let alone watch them dance.
I just don't get it... when did they leave the kids in charge? When we had dances ....waaaaaaaaaay back in the 50's we had at least 6 chaprones there. And none of them were shy about telling you..that you were dancing too close.
by the way I think the dirty dancing started in the 1930 with the shimmy...lol
