Fruit Nut

Fruit is the favorite snack of American kids, according to a recent survey. Some nutritionists are shocked with disbelief, and I'm guessing that they either don't have kids or aren't in charge of the grocery shopping. In our house, my kids snack on carrots, apples, and grapes. They don't eat chips because, gasp, we don't have chips in the house very often. What's so hard to believe about that?

... I heard that same survey and some additional information: The fact that the adults filled out the survey for them, and didn't let the children answer the questions.

That could skew it a bit, I think.

I try not to have junk food in my house (to prevent myself from eating it) but I make the mistake of letting my hubby go shopping with me. I feel like a mom, even though I'm not (yet) and I have to sit there and tell him no and sneak stuff back out of the cart. I think I better leave him at home from now on.
