You know you're a parent when you laugh at something like this... Tonight on his show, David Letterman was showing off a racing trophy and said, "This trophy will either occupy a place of honor in my home, or will be destroyed by my son."

I remember thinking that if we just put the valuables up high, they'd be safe. Then we moved them higher. And then we put them into drawers and cabinets. Finally we wised up and packed them all away in boxes.
