If it's the mom, she'll get secretive. Like she's going to patent her brand of parenting, or she's afraid you'll call Child Welfare to come investigate her.

The question sounds too broad. I bet if you asked, "what do you think about setting kids in front of the tv for 4 hours a day," they'd both have answers that would be more revealing, more specific, and perhaps worth listening to.
