I See Red

Patrons of the downtown Coeur d'Alene post office were seeing red this afternoon when some idiot parked his red truck behind another car, blocking access to the front parking lot and pinning in more than a few cars. The driver of the truck was inside the building for at least ten minutes while other customers were left inconvenienced. Where do people get the nerve to do things like this?

You're approaching this whole situation from the wrong standpoint...It is probably a mistaken assumption that every dumb thing people do was done deliberately...
People don't get "nerve" to do things like blocking the Post Office Parking Lot with their red truck. People like that are STUPID to begin with. It's a case of having no nerve, consideration or empathy for the rest of the human race.
There are thousands of stupid people out there. One is waiting to run you over or otherwise jeopardize your existence. One such person almost killed me in a car accident back in 2001. They're everywhere, they're everywhere. BEWARE!
I'm with cdadave on this one. And I'd add that there may be something in the vicinity of that particular post office that attracts the stupid ones. On two different occasions I've seen a white Subaru Legacy, license K216334, with the signage "Alliance Title & Escrow" on the side, parked in that same lot, engine running and keys in ignition. Alliance Title & Escrow needs to change its sign to read "I'm Driven By Stupid - Steal Me."
Then again, I see different players doing the same thing in front of the Ironwood Starbucks every morning: engine running, keys in ignition.
my pet peive....probably is going to get me punched it the nose some day, is the stupid people that park in the yellow lines behind that line of cars you see. Makes it impossible for anyone in anything larger than a geo to back out. The usual repondance when i point this out to offenders is " i'll only be a second" or " there's no place else for me to park and parking in back of the post office is too much of a hassle."
Yes, this is a stupid act and as said by a stupid person. He probably blocks his neighbor's driveways too and no doubt does 50 miles an hour down 7th Street just to get to Post Office a few seconds faster.
