Too WILD for Silverwood

My family spent the afternoon at Silverwood today, taking one last ride on the rollercoasters, log ride, carousel, and the steam train (my favorite). It was great weather and not too crowded. But it was also a day for Spokane radio station WILD 103.9 to inflict some completely inappropriate and downright pornographic music on the ears of my children.

Silverwood management, do you let your six-year-old children listen to songs about "rough sex"? That's what mine heard while standing in line at Tremors. I must've missed the signs that read, "No kids allowed on Tremors today because we took money from a radio station that plays sexually explicit rap music."

I really don't want to have to explain to my six-year-old why the man was talking about "how I like it" and "I like it rough" while a woman moans and squeals over a hip-hop beat. We were just there for some coaster thrills, not sex education.

Silverwood needs to seriously think twice about who it brings into its park as a sponsor. They advertise themselves as a family park, do they not? WILD 103.9 does not belong at Silverwood.

pornographic? i can understand wanting your children to be protected from pornographic material, but how could you call the radio in N. Idaho a porno? I mean come on, people here are conservative, but that is rediculas. People are here are way too uptight to let other people make their own decisions. You dont sound like a person who enjoys life, meaning as you need everything you particiapate in to be controled. I take this from your statement about which rides you chose and which was your favorite.
The truth is, MOST MUSIC CAN BE CATORIGIZED AS SEXUALLY EXPLICIT It can be, whether it is Marvin Gaye, Ja Rule, Whitesnake, and so on. Conservatives seem to forget that they were once kids too, and the music was just as sexually inclinded as it is now. Pushing the limits has never changed, but them line where the limits is, has.
