Bill Hall was the editorial page editor of the The
Lewiston Morning Tribune
newspaper in Lewiston, Idaho, until his
retirement in 2002. He is the father of six
children and the grandfather of 10 cats, two
hyperventilating dogs, one goat, one runty burro,
one chicken, one Japanese car, and two small
humans. One of his favorite subjects to write
about over the years has been his cats. On this
page are just some of those humorous and touching
cat columns. Hall has published
many books over the past 20 years, two of which
